Anniversary trip

We celebrated 10 years of marriage on June 15th.  To mark the occasion we took a family vacation to Colorado.

First stop was in Chama, NM to see Thomas the Tank Engine and ride the train.

 

 

Next we explored the Great Sand Dunes in Southern Colorado:

Then a stop in Colorado Springs at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where we got to feed the giraffes:

Dinner at Casa Bonita in Denver, where we were entertained by indoor cliff diving:

 Then a visit to the aquarium in Denver where we go to see lots of fish, sharks, turtles and even mermaids and a lion:

Kathleen and Santos visit

My cousin Kathleen and her boyfriend Santos came to visit at the end of May.  It was the first time either had been "out west."

We visited the Caldera where they were having primitive skill demonstrations, we all practiced throwing a spear with an adeladle:

I worked with Stephanie when we were both students at the lab, she is now a vet in Los Alamos.  Her son is 2 weeks older than Sarah.
